"I grew up on a farm in Manitoba and then moved into Winnipeg after graduation to go to the University of Manitoba. I knew I wanted to do something in the sciences or the medical field and after taking Anatomy and falling in love with how the human body works, I chose Physio!
After graduating from Physio school, I was ready to branch out from Manitoba, so I headed to Calgary where I worked in private practice for 3 years. I then continued my journey west and moved to Kelowna in 2013 for the opportunity to work at Neumovement. I have been practicing for over 9 years now and my treatments include a combination of all the skills I have learned including manual therapy, connect therapy and IMS/dry needling. I completed my orthopedic division levels in 2017 and became an FCAMPT (Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapists) and I am also certified in Gunn IMS.
I strongly believe in an active component in conjunction with Physio and so many of my clients do Pilates along with their treatments to work on their specific rehab needs. I am passionate about mentoring and teaching and I am a faculty member of our Neu Pilates teacher training program and I also mentor fellow Physiotherapists. "

WHY DO YOU LOVE NEUMOVEMENT?
I love the community of people and the friendly, warm environment for both staff and clients and I love that you can almost always hear someone laughing! Combining Pilates and Physio has also led to some amazing results with my clients and I think it’s so great we can offer this service to people as the active part of rehab is very important!
WHAT GOAL DO YOU STRIVE FOR WITH YOUR CLIENTS POST TREATMENT?
I want my clients to feel like I have listened to them and addressed all their questions and concerns. I want them to feel supported and heard. Ideally, I strive for people to feel better post treatment but sometimes there is initially some soreness from the physio treatment and the relief comes later!
FAVOURITE DAY OFF ACTIVITY?
Hiking and back country camping!
