Registered Physiotherapist BSc.MPT
Growing up in Saskatoon, Kendra Jones McGrath is a proud graduate of the University of Saskatchewan’s Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) program and also has a BSc in Kinesiology.
Prior to completing her MPT she utilized her CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist Certification working as an kinesiologist both in chronic disease management and physiotherapy clinic settings. She operated her own Pilates and Highland dance studio in Lloydminster for 10 years prior to moving to the Okanagan.
Her varied experience to date has developed her ability to see her patients holistically. She is now further honing her clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills working towards her FCAMPT certification via the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Levels Syllabus. Meanwhile she has continued her study of Pilates via Stott Pilates Rehabilitation Professional stream and plans to complete her Professional Yoga Therapist Certification via Yoga as Medicine.
She is also slowly working through her Sport Physiotherapist Canada credentials. Outside the clinic and studio Kendra enjoys trying new physical activities. Kendra recently started playing hockey in an attempt to impress her two hockey crazed sons and their coach, her husband Ashley.
She also learned to row, attending the 2016 Masters Rowing Championship in Regina with the resurgent Lloyd minster Rowing Club. She has a passion for performing arts, physical activity and sport and understands the influence participation has on the well-being of all ages.
Lastly, she is enamored with the people and places that are her new home of British Columbia.
