"When starting Pilates in 2006, I hadn’t yet realized that ‘exercise’ and ‘low back pain’ didn’t have to go in the same sentence. Having danced competitively for many years, the movement came very naturally to me. Movement with correct alignment, however, felt completely foreign. I started as a client in the original Salmon Arm studio and quickly began building a deep passion for Pilates. I enrolled myself in my first Teacher Training program in 2009 and started teaching in the Vernon studio that year. Over the years I’ve received certifications through BCRPA, STOTT Pilates in Mat, Reformer, and Chair, and the Advanced Teacher Training program in Classical Pilates, as well as countless additional workshops and courses. I moved to Kelowna in 2012 and have been teaching at NEUMovement ever since. I am now also one of the Teacher Trainers in our NEUPilates training program and am loving passing on my knowledge and passion for Pilates to others!"

WHY DO YOU LOVE NEUMOVEMENT?
NeuMovement is Home. It’s been my Constant in an ever-evolving world for so many years now, the clients and the staff are like Family. It’s constantly shown me that the human body is so much more resilient than we think, and we always have the ability to grow and change when we are ready to do so.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PILATES MOVEMENT?
My favourite Pilates movement... that’s tough! I’ve got a lot of favourites - Short spine will always be one of my top 3, but beyond that, probably any Chair exercises because they’re just so darn challenging!
FAVOURITE DAY OFF ACTIVITY?
A trip to the farmers market, visiting my Nieces or Nephews, or a hike with good friends (and my dog Winston, of course).
