Katie completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology at Queen’s University in 2013. Out of her desire to work directly with people and positively influence their lives, she went on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy degree at Western University in 2015. She is also a certified K-taping therapist and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

With her psychology background, Katie has a strong interest in the mind-body connection; a person’s mental state affects physical functioning and vice versa. She uses this knowledge to take a holistic approach to physiotherapy treatment. This means focusing not only on the injury, but also considering each patient’s unique situation to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Katie’s treatments focus on combining manual therapy and exercise with education. Her goal is to empower every patient to develop life-long knowledge and skills to both treat and prevent injury.

Beyond physiotherapy, Katie enjoys practicing yoga, dancing, rock climbing, hiking, painting, and travelling.
