HAYLEY BROWN

Registered Physiotherapist

CPTBC, DPhty, BExPhys

Hayley immigrated to Canada with her two Aussie pooches 2 years ago. She has a passion for connecting with people and helping them to move. She graduated in Australia with a double degree in Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy (Extended Masters).

Hayley loves to help her clients understand what is happening and why certain symptoms are present; so you can expect an interactive treatment session. She feels client satisfaction is enhanced if they can leave with an understanding of their body. Knowledge greatly enhances treatment and recovery.

Hayley regularly treats with manual techniques and IMS. Hayley also has a passion for Pilates and believes the Pilates concept can be a valuable treatment and adjunct therapy for many conditions of the body.

In her spare time catch her running up a mountain in the summer or snowboarding down it in the winter.

She is also a Returned Servicewoman and Navy Veteran of the Second Gulf War (Iraq War). She has served 16 years in both permanent Australian naval and naval reserve positions. She is immensely proud of her service to her country.

FAVOURITE QUOTE TO LIVE BY

"A wise man will make more opportunities than what he finds"

WHY DO YOU LOVE NEUMOVEMENT?

As a new member of the Glenmore clinic, the team has been so supportive and friendly. Moral, kindness and friendship are very important to me when I choose a place to work. When the team is cohesive it allows us to give exceptional care to our valued clients.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PHYSIO MOVE?

I love the shoulder and pathologies of the shoulder – especially symptoms and injuries related to the rotator cuff. So I absolutely love looking at scapulohumeral rhythm and the relationship of the scapulothoracic joint. So much information can be obtained from simply asking someone to raise their arm in the air.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU OUTSIDE THE STUDIO?

Running up a mountain in the summer and snowboarding down it in the winter – I almost hit 40 days at the ski hill this season!
