How To Get Started with ICBC Treatment

Updated: Sep 14, 2023

If you have been in a car accident our physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and massage therapists take ICBC collision claims. We understand being in a car accident can come with many challenges and we are here to help! Below are the steps to get started with us for your ICBC treatment.

physiotherapy

If your car accident was within the last 12 weeks, you are typically pre-approved for 12 kinesiologist and massage treatments and 25 physiotherapy treatments. When you call one of our clinics to book a physiotherapy, kinesiology, or massage appointment we will ask when the date of your accident was and what your claim number is. If it has been over 12 weeks since your car accident the practitioner will have to do an assessment and submit a request to ICBC for funding. We will not charge for this first visit, however if ICBC does not approve the request then it will be your responsibility to pay for the treatment.

If you have attended physiotherapy, kinesiology, or massage therapy anywhere else for an initial assessment we cannot bill for another initial assessment at our clinic. It will be a follow up appointment with one of our practitioners. When you give us a call, have your claim number, date of accident, and your adjustor’s information ready. We will send you an online intake form to your email address provided and we ask that you fill this out before your appointment so your practitioner has all the information they need! Your recovery may need additional treatment that goes beyond 12 weeks after the car accident. If this is the case your practitioner will request more treatments and submit a treatment plan to ICBC for approval.

We are here to help you with your recovery after a car accident.
